There are many reasons I love this playground and only a few complaints. Parking is easy, finding it is as easy as one, two, three. In a few steps you’re right at the playground which has four sturctures and a variety of stand alone equipment.
The first playground is the smallest and easiest for toddlers. It has steps up, a foot hole wall and a rock wall. My 17m can do everything but the rock wall. Once atop there is a double slide and a bridge leading to another singular slide.
The next playground is higher up and difficult for younger kids to get up. Go up a chain box type thing or a regular chain climbing thing. A bigger rock wall or a big curved bar ladder is the other ways up. When your kid gets up, there are three slides. One bumpy blue slide, a red straight slide and a green twisty slide.
The third playground is also high up but both of my kids managed it, my 17m with supervision. The way up is a curved ladder, a slanted rock wall and a straight rock wall. The climb is worth it because it leads to three connected red slides. Two of them curvy and the middle one is straight. My kids played on this for a while. They climbed up and slid down, we found a ball that we rolled up and down and we raced to the top to see who would win- it wasn’t me.
Behind the playgrounds are two sets of swingsets. One has a chair swing and regular swings. The second set is smaller lower to the ground swings- my 17m old LOVED this, having previously not liked swings this was perfect for him.
The fourth structure is monkey bars. A pair of regular curved bars, triangular bars and a pair where you just slide your hands and next to that s singular swinging bar.
The equipment scattered around were the winning stars for my kids. A balance beam and a standing see-saw were used heavily by them. There’s a standing spinning toy that they each tried but neither were huge fans. Go into the trees nearby to find a metal firetruck they can sit in the back and ride in or jump in the front seat and steer it. In the same area is a dome climber and two small sandboxes, which at this time were not well kept. Further into the trees are sets of tires to climb, balance and slide from, a huge hit with my 17m. There are some tree stumps to climb on and they aren’t high off the ground so he felt comfortable there too. A small balancing log is connected to a tree and one of the stumps. The trees are scattered enough that you could have an epic game of hide and seek but there’s not so many that you actually think you lost your kid, plus there’s a fence preventing them from leaving the area. Opposite this area and next to the playgrounds is a field for anyone looking to kick a ball, throw a ball back and fourth.
The only complaints I have are mosquitoes. We got eaten alive the entire time but I also understand there’s nothing to be done about that. The other is the sandboxes, I think combining them would make for better play and also upkeeping them. I also wish there was a bathroom but I wish EVERY playground would have them. Other than that this playground is awesome. I would say it IS more geared to four and up but if you have other younger kids there’s still stuff for them to do, especially if you don’t mind hovering over them. Being 15m away from me, it will definitely be a go-to spot when we are looking for somewhere close by to go. The sturctures are a bit high but that didn’t stop my 4y or my 17m. The see-saw drew big laughs and smiles I think my heart quite literally melted. I’m a sucker for hide and seek and there is a lot of potential for a good game of it.
