    Windham Primary School

The third and final playground at this location. You can find the reviews for one and two here aaaaaand here.

This third playground is furthest away and is visible from playground number two. It is also the biggest of the three structures at this location. With that said my two year old has zero problems going up and down on the climbing poles he was comfortable with. Walking up to this playground you’ll find one picnic table and to the left of it is a sandbox. The sandbox could use some work but my 2yo loves sand so even the little that was there was enough. There are now toys or trucks of that matter though so it may just end in lots of sand throwing. In front of the table is the structure.

To start, as always is the easy to climb steps. These steps lead to a small wide slide big enough for two riders to go down at the same time. Straight across from the steps is another way onto or off the sturcture. It’s those platforms attached to a pole that is then attached to chain. These move and sway as kids cross them using there feet and hands. Following the structure along, another opening for a climbing ladder, the circular hard plastic kind. Across from this and directly next to the small steps is a medium sized double slide.

Next is a slightly curved steady bridge. At the end of the bridge is an opening for a hard plastic net type climber. Meaning it moves as a kid moves, it has square holds and bars on either side for extra support. Across from this opening is the opening for the firepole, which is quite high. There is also an opening for a tall slightly slanted rock wall. Next to the plastic net type opening is another opening for a small spiral step pole. All of these ways up lead to a couple steps that bring you to a straight steady bridge. There are two openings at the end. One is for a slanted step ladder. I was nervous for my 2yo to do this but he climbed this like it was his job. It does have an extra support bar for the entirety of it. It is pretty high but that didn’t bother my kids. Across from this opening is a climbing ladder that I have never seen anywhere else before. It’s has bars on coming from a main middle bar. The side bars are where kids climb up (if they can) are straight with a ball on each end and they are all connected by a strong rope. These bars spiral and twist around. My 5yo tried but the more twisted it became the more she struggled and wanted help down.

From those openings there is another step up that leads to a very fast bump slide. My 2yo went FLYINGA off this thing. Nonetheless, he did it over and over again and loved it everytime. Across from this slide is another opening for a horseshoe shaped climbing ladder. This was also easy for my 2yo as it’s straight up and down and essentially you just alternate your hands and feet. From these areas is a small steady twisty bridge. This bridge ends the structure with another big steep slide. There is also two more climbing ladders that end it as well. One is a curved straight bar ladder. This is pretty high but it was my 2yo favorite way if getting up. The last climbing bar is that of curved bars that alternate sticking out or in.

There’s a few things around the playground worth noting. One is the handlebar structure. It is made up of different types of handlebars. Next to that is three balance boards on springs very close to the ground. There are some higher off the ground ones nearby. Near the picnic table is a swing set with four regular seats.

This is probably the playground my kids liked the most of the three here at this location. With that said, it is very high and there are a lot of openings. So if you know your small 2yo will jusy go for it, make sure they have your attention. My 2yo is our daredevil but he always gets our attention before attempting something, especially the first few times. Like every review I do, please consider your own children and there abilities. Realistically I would say this playground is more appropriate for four and up, possibly a older three year old.

Like most playgrounds, there is no bathroom here. This playground has little shade and only one place for sitting. On the walk to this playground you will find many things painted on the ground, murals and a few game areas.
