Although on a busy road and in a busy area this playground can be easily missed but if you follow GPS you should have no problem finding it. Park along the street you turn onto (davis/cottage) and walk across the street to the GATED playground. Yes, gated. Yes its wonderful. We were there around 9ish and we saw a minimum of four families, mostly younger, one to two years if I had to guess. My 4yo had no problem having fun here so don’t let that stop you from checking it out.
We walked in through the gate and immediately there is a toddler structure. There’s steps that lead up to a double slide that curve at the end. So not much of a structure but all the toddlers loved it and occupied it the entire time we were here, including my own 18m.
Next is two back and forth rocking motorcycles that both toddlers and my 4y wanted to be a part of. There is a set of swings next to these. There is a chair swing, a bucket swing and a couple regular swings.
The next structure is the bigger, much bigger but an adult can easily follow their littles up. The set of steps would be easiest for an adult accompanying a toddler. There is a hole rock wall climbing thing that leads to a small opening that surpasses the steps and leads to another platform. Whether you take the steps or the rock wall, you’ll come to another immediate opening to a spider web climbing thing of sorts. My 4yo loves these things and is a master. My 18m tried it but he’s not quite big enough yet. This spider web has curves and ups and downs to climb across. Should your child succeed they’ll come to a platform with an outlook board, look through the eye goggles and see across the playground to the toddler structure or they can climb down a small opening to a rock wall. Kids can obviously do this in reverse and start st the rock wall and cross over to the main playground equipment. If your child opted out of the spider web after climbing the steps or rock wall they can continue to climb some steps that lead to a twisty slide. On the way to the twisty slide they’ll stop at the steering wheel that is there at the top.
While it doesn’t seem like much there is a lot to like about this playground. The major win is the fence. I love a fenced in playground, although they’re sparse. Both of my kids protested in leaving. I think you could reasonably stay here for an hour- an hour and a half before the littles start to get bored. My kids make a game of anything so mine could stay a while longer than that. They made woodchip cake on a spinning platform that is off to the side of the big structure. I really like when a playground has different size structures. It really caters to parents with more than one kid with age differences. Its easy to find and the walk to the playground is just as simple. There are two benches for parents to sit but not much shade and no bathrooms. I did see a bunch of restaurants nearby so you could easily stop in for some lunch before or after playing.
