William H Rowe

Easy to find playground and parking here! There a portable potty near the lot and tennis courts.

The first playground here, yes there are multiples, is an suitable for all ages. My 17m and 4y played together on it while I walked the perimeter just in case, as there are some openings toddlers would more than likely walk through. It has a couple slides and a fancy rock wall. My son could climb it up but not down. My daughter is a master at these and did it no problem. Six small round platforms form a wobbly bridge so to speak for littles to step across.

There’s some swings and a tire swing near by. My kids favorite thing at this play ground was the merry-go-round. There 5 or 6 dipped in seats and the parent can spin as fast or slow as needed. On the court is a bright painted picture of the US, some hopscotch and four square blocks. There a lengthy sandbox with some toys scattered inside. I thought this is where my son would play but it didn’t hold his interest. In front of that is a climbing dome.

Next to this playground is another. It has a big wood bridge over the top of a black tunnel which kids can walk through, parents probably not. At the end of the bridge is a big metal slide which could easily fit two or three sliders at once. There’s a tall structure next to it. Kids can climb up one side that leads to a singular red covered slide. My 17m had no problems with this. There are various size stumps surrounding the outside of this playground, they lead to a small path, balance beam and a small wooden bridge. I kept saying to my husband, these first two playgrounds would be perfect for some hide and seek between some little kids (or a kid and parent if there’s no one else around to play).

The third playground here is geared towards toddlers and pre-k. The structures are much smaller and closer to the ground. A smaller climbing dome is here along with smaller slides and a cute little bumble bee ride on thing. There’s a balance beam that leads to a few round platforms on at various heights.

In the back is a musical board and a pretend play sturcture with moving parts. Some play houses are nearby which had my 17m old captivated.

The three of these playgrounds combined make this playground worth checking out for toddlers and up. Between the three, there is plenty to do for kids with lots of pent up energy. We went after hours in a weekday so it was not busy at all and we were the only family there. I would imagine those who know of this playground flock to it on the weekends. Another perc to the William H Rowe playground is that is directly next to royal river park so there’s a well maintenance path and field. We talked about coming back and doing a picnic in the field after walking the trail to see the waterfall. We saw a lot of people with and without dogs walking the trail.
