38 Trotters Park, New Gloucester, ME 04260
At this easy to find playground there is plenty of parking, covered tables and plenty to play on. From parking to playground is a few steps.
A giant structure is surrounded by wood chips. Multiple size slides protrude from platforms, high up. There’s multiple ways up, rock wall, an arched ladder, a wall with holes, and a few other ladder type things. Aside from the two big slides and two small slides, kids can use the fire pole to come down. On another side of the sturcture is monkey bars fairly high off the ground.
Theres very big field and track. You will see a few people walking around getting there steps in but kids are welcome to play on either.
There are no bathrooms here but the covered tables are convenient, although a little further away from the playground than I am comfortable being away from my 4y and 17m.
There’s a giant sandbox with lots of different sandbox toys. This area is packed with all ages! There isn’t ever a time I’ve gone and no kids were in it. Next to it is some swings, bucket and regular.
For the height of the main structure I would say this is for minimum 3ys or extremely well walking 2ys. Even then, you’ll want to stay on top of them because there are so many openings to and from the high platforms and slides. With that said if you do have younger kids/toddlers the sandbox can easily entertain them. While the younger kids play in this area, older kids, teens can race around the track or play some ball in the field! Because this playground is very close by us we are here often. It’s a really nice play ground and a great place for parent meets ups before New Gloucester Story Time.
