Fairfield Elementary

397 Minot Ave, Auburn, ME 04210

The school itself is easy to find as is parking. The playground is not seen from the road or lot so follow the path up and around the back of the school (this is where I ended up parking as I went on a Saturday and no one was there).

There are two sturctures some distance apart. The first one you will come to is definitely for older kids. I didn’t even want my 17m old on it but he did insist in walking up the steep steep steps, which I had to still assist him with. My daughter liked being on top of it but didn’t want to try any of the bars attached to it.

Right next to this is a balance beam with some sturdy platform protruding from the ground. At the end of those is five more but these one are wobbly and you must balance your steps across.

To get to the other playground here, you’ll walk by some covered tables and over a small sidewalk. This is a bigger playground but suitable for toddlers and up. Along with some unconventional ways up there’s also a few sets of regular steps. Most of the platforms are big enough for adults to play along side their kid however there is a tunnel that I definitely wouldn’t have fit through. There’s different size slides which myself could fit down and usually my 4y doesn’t like slides and she liked these ones.

Theres a grassy area running the length of these two structures and some swings in the back. No bathrooms here and not at all busy.
